Booking & Payment

All bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a booking request and our written confirmation. Payment is due at the time of the tour unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are per vehicle, not per person. All prices include the vehicle and fuel. Maximum 4 guests per vehicle.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled tour start time: full refund.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled tour start time: a cancellation fee of 27.89% of the total booking value will be charged. The remaining balance will be refunded.

No-shows (failure to appear at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time without prior notice): no refund.

Modification Policy

Booking modifications (date changes, tour changes) are subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours before the original tour start time.

Modifications requested less than 24 hours before the tour start time may be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation policy will apply.

Weather & Natural Phenomena

Aurora tours are dependent on clear skies and aurora activity. We monitor forecasts closely and will advise guests on the best available nights during their stay.

We do not guarantee aurora sightings. The aurora is a natural phenomenon and its appearance cannot be predicted with certainty. No refunds will be issued solely on the basis that the aurora was not visible during the tour.

In the event of severe weather conditions (blizzard, extreme cold warning, dangerous road conditions) that make the tour unsafe to operate, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the tour. In such cases, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

Ice road tours are subject to ice conditions and official road opening/closing decisions by the Government of the Northwest Territories. We are not responsible for cancellations due to ice road closures.

Health & Safety

Guests participate in all tours at their own risk. We take all reasonable precautions to ensure guest safety, but guests must follow all safety instructions provided by the guide.

Guests are responsible for dressing appropriately for the weather conditions. Yellowknife winters can be extremely cold (temperatures regularly reach -30°C or below). We strongly recommend dressing in multiple warm layers, including insulated boots, gloves, and a hat.

Guests with medical conditions that may be affected by cold temperatures or extended outdoor exposure should consult a physician before booking.

Liability

Aurora Chasing Bucket List is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from participation in our tours, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property, including cameras, phones, or other equipment, during tours.

Guests are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate travel insurance for their visit to Canada.

Photography & Media

Guests are welcome to photograph and film during tours for personal use.

By participating in a tour, guests grant Aurora Chasing Bucket List permission to use any photographs or videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes, unless the guest explicitly requests otherwise in writing before the tour.
